Daniel Vu
Daniel Vu was born in Seattle, Washington at the beginning of 1993. As the son of refugees from the Vietnam War, Daniel was involved with the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement throughout his adolescence. After graduating from Mercer Island High School in 2011, Daniel traveled to Italy, France, and Spain as part of the World Youth Day Madrid pilgrimage where his written testimony would be included in a book that was sent to Pope Benedict XVI the day he resigned. Upon returning home, Daniel briefly attended college before traveling to Brazil in 2013 to partake in World Youth Day Rio de Janeiro then subsequently enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he entered boot camp in January of 2014. Graduating from Marine Corps Recruit Training in April of 2014, Daniel would be stationed in Southern California, serving on active duty for four years where he deployed twice, once to the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in 2016, and to Southeast Asia in support of finding the remains of missing servicemembers from the Vietnam War in 2017. Finishing his time on active duty at the beginning of 2018, Daniel found himself without a task and purpose which ultimately led to a major reversion at the end of that year and into 2019, where he strove to overcome the sin and vice that plagued his life at that point. This journey then led him towards attending and becoming extremely passionate about the Traditional Latin Mass, creating a hit social media apostolate on Instagram for Catholic Men, and found himself cofounding and leading the Men's Rosary Marches in Southern California. In the present time, Daniel resides in San Diego, California, continuing to run Traditional Catholic Men on Instagram, leading Men's Rosary Marches in Southern California, mentoring young Catholic men, and recently became an instructor for The Martyrs Walk, a Catholic Men's bootcamp in the Carolinas.
